Hooded Scarf - Eileen February 9, 23, March 8: Thursday evenings, 5-7pm Beautiful colorwork is the main focus of this scarf.The colors are in fun stripes and Fair Isle knitting, worked in the round. The tube is then cut and raveled to create the fringe.It is then sewn together in the center to form a hood and a colorful tassel is added.
Beaded Bag - Eileen March 22 and 29: Thursday evenings, 5-7pm Traditional bead knitting is what you will learn in this class. A beautiful beaded cotton bag is the perfect project. Bead knitting is worked in stockinette stitch following a chart. We will be pre-stringing the beads according to the chart design for the project. Bamboo handles or knitted straps can be used. Lining is optional.
Noni Ella Coat Knit-A-Long Tuesday evenings: 5-7pm, Ongoing through April 16, 2012 What is a KAL? A Knit-A-Long (KAL) is simply a group of people knitting the same thing together over a period of time enjoying the process together. For the Noni Ella Coat KAL, MeadowFarm will be joining groups of worldwide knitters in the US, Canada, Scotland, England and Germany - the first International Noni Knit-A-Long. The Ella Re-invented KAL (we will follow the blog for instructions) will start on Jan 16 casting on the first stitches together and ends on April 16. This project will consist of weekly "tasks" each knitter needs to complete in order to finish on time. Each Monday, there will be posts of "What To Do this week with Ella" on Nora's blog. She has tweaks to the original Ella Coat pattern that will only be given here on the Noni Blog that include construction, fitting suggestions, and embellishment options. We will meet every Tuesday to get started on the coming week's task. Nora's Blog: This blog offers instructions, helpful hints and a community participating in a common project. Whatever You Desire Knitting - $10.00 These are two hour classes taught on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Assistance in fundamental knitting needs is given. Students range from beginner to experienced. Options are endless: socks, first sweater, hats, bags, etc. When all is said and done, this class covers whatever you desire. Private Knitting and Crochet Lessons 1 hour - $10.00 Private lessons are available on request. Please call to schedule.
